Genius Sports x Swiss Football League
A mid-sized league outsources its full tech stack to one vendor.
Genius Sports signed a multi-year exclusive partnership with the Swiss Football League to deploy GeniusIQ across all Brack Super League and Challenge League stadiums from 2026/27. The platform creates a single intelligence layer covering tracking data, video feeds, and event statistics. Clubs access Performance Studio, already in use in the Premier League, Ligue 1, and Belgian Pro League. Semi-automated offside technology and data-driven commercial activations are included.
Why it matters
Outsourcing the full tech stack to a single vendor exchanges capital expenditure for structural dependency. Replacing a vendor embedded at venue level is not a software migration, it is an infrastructure project. Genius Sports and Stats Perform are consolidating a de facto duopoly across European football data: 14 of the top 20 European leagues already run on one of their stacks.
