Sportradar extended its agreement with UEFA by three years, expanding Integrity Services coverage to more than 900 matches per season, a 33% increase on the previous cycle, including the Champions League, Europa League, Women's Euro 2025 and the 2026/2028 qualifiers. The technical core of the deal is UFDS (Universal Fraud Detection System), Sportradar's proprietary system that analyses anomalous patterns in betting flows against more than 20 years of historical data to flag matches at risk of manipulation. Sportradar describes the system as hybrid: the AI filters millions of signals a day, and a team of more than 50 analysts investigates the context of every alert before issuing a formal report to UEFA and sporting authorities.

The real subject of this case is not the commercial agreement, which UEFA and Sportradar communicate by emphasising data distribution and match coverage, but the fraud detection system running underneath it: a model trained on two decades of betting data, with human review before any formal escalation. It is a defensible design, AI flags, a person decides, but no public source specifies the false positive rate or how many alerts UFDS generates per season at UEFA scale, a figure that would make it possible to judge how reliable the automated filter actually is before it reaches an analyst.
