ScorePlay

€13M to put AI clip generation in every team's hands.

ScorePlay, founded in 2021 by Victorien Tixier and Xavier Green, has built AI-powered media infrastructure specifically for sports organisations — automating the centralisation, tagging, and multi-platform distribution of photos, videos, and clips. The platform uses computer vision and ML video processing to ingest live feeds, auto-tag content by player, action type, and moment, and distribute social-ready clips to athletes, broadcasters, and sponsors in minutes rather than hours. In February 2025, the company closed a $13 million Series A led by Harry Stebbings' 20VC, with strategic investors including Giannis Antetokounmpo (BYL Ventures), Alexis Ohanian (Seven Seven Six), Nico Rosberg, Alex Morgan (Trybe Ventures), FIBA, and previous backers Kevin Durant and Eli Manning. Total funding reached $20 million. As of the raise, ScorePlay served over 200 sports organisations: 50+ US franchises (NBA, NHL), 100+ European clubs (Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga), and 50+ leagues and federations including MLS and NWSL. The company reported 3x year-over-year growth and profitability at time of funding. Status: production, 200+ clients, profitable.
Por qué importa

ScorePlay's athlete and federation investor base is not just a PR move — it is a distribution strategy. When Giannis and Alex Morgan invest, their teams and networks follow. The model also reveals something structural: sports media operations are still largely manual in 2025, even at the top level. ScorePlay is not competing with established broadcast infrastructure — it is filling the gap between the live feed and the social post, a workflow that most clubs have been handling with interns and generic tools. The risk at scale is commoditisation: once the category is defined, larger platform players (Adobe, Google, AWS) have every reason to enter it.
