Ohio State University x HPE Juniper Mist
Stadium Wi-Fi stops waiting for a technician.
Ohio Stadium is replacing its 2019 Wi-Fi 6 Aruba network with more than 2,000 Juniper Mist Wi-Fi 7 access points managed by the Marvis AI assistant. The system diagnoses and resolves recurring faults such as stuck ports on its own, without engineer intervention, and offers a natural-language interface for real-time troubleshooting. It will be the largest single HPE Juniper Mist deployment in a U.S. public venue, with a live debut planned for September 2026.
Por qué importa
Atlético de Madrid x HPE (Issue #1) was about bandwidth management inside a football venue. Here the shift is fully autonomous network maintenance at university scale, covering the whole campus rather than just the stadium. The risk is single-vendor dependency for an entire university's critical network infrastructure, and the absence, so far, of operational data confirming performance beyond the proof of concept.
