EDO x FIFA World Cup (Sponsored Ad Outcomes)
Sponsorship stops being visibility. It becomes a number.
FIFA x Stats Perform (Issue #1) showed data as monetisation infrastructure. EDO closes the other side of the loop: it measures what every second of a brand's exposure is worth. As long as sponsorship stayed unmeasurable, its price was a negotiation. Once it becomes a quantified outcome, it becomes a market. The structural consequence is not the individual figure, it is who produces it: whoever controls the measurement standard controls the inventory valuation of every rights holder. A club or league that accepts a third-party vendor's metric as the reference is ceding the pricing of its most opaque asset. The open question is whether a shared standard will emerge, or whether each measurer will impose its own, leaving rights holders to negotiate over numbers that do not compare.
