Case of the Day

Stupa Sports (ADRS/TTR)

A video-review system for sports that cannot afford Hawk-Eye.

Stupa Sports (ADRS/TTR)
Stupa Sports extended its Advanced Decision Review System from table tennis to rugby. At Ultimate Table Tennis Season 7, 14-15 synchronised cameras produce a verdict on specific officiating scenarios, serve toss height and angle, table edge calls, in under 20 seconds. At Rugby Premier League Season 2 in Hyderabad, the same multi-angle stack delivers rulings within two minutes, integrated into the live broadcast.
Why it matters

MLB x Hawk-Eye x TrackMan (Issue #3) and FIFA's semi-automated offside (Issue #4) showed what it takes to officiate with AI when budget is not a constraint. Stupa Sports applies the same principle to sports and leagues that don't have that budget: badminton certified by the BWF first, now table tennis and rugby on the same platform. It is a vendor building replicable officiating infrastructure for the sport the major vendors don't cover.

AI is becoming the operating system of sports organizations, and it's already separating leaders from the rest. AI on the Field measures where you stand today and builds the path to get there.

NBL x iCoach
Commentators query the data live, in plain words.

The NBL integrated iCoach into its broadcast production from the NBL27 season, under a ten-year agreement. The platform combines data, video and tracking and lets production staff and commentators query it in natural language to surface historical context, player and team trends, milestones and emerging storylines during live play.
